America's Friendliest Airport

PHOENIX AIRPORT SYSTEM

Traveling to the Valley of the Sun?

Air transportation to and from the Valley is managed by three airports. Each year, millions of air travelers, as well as private planes and cargo, are safely routed through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport and Phoenix Goodyear Airport.

The city of Phoenix Aviation Department operates all three airports which are busy enough to be counted among the nation’s top 250 busiest airports.

With three runways and three passenger terminals, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport handles the majority of air traffic. It’s the 8th busiest airport in the U.S.

Just north of downtown Phoenix, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport supports Sky Harbor by relieving some of the air traffic with its flights. It ranks 17th in the United States and is the busiest general aviation airport in the country.

West of Phoenix, Phoenix Goodyear Airport serves as a second alternate airport to help reduce the volume of planes using Sky Harbor. Originally a military facility, Goodyear offers one of the best general aviation runways in the country and is poised for continued development, already supporting several flight training businesses. Goodyear currently ranks as the 106th busiest airport in the country.
