Roaming Gnome Samples Sky Harbor’s Amenities

As part of Travelocity’s Thanksgiving Task Force, the Roaming Gnome made an appearance at Phoenix Sky International Airport on Tuesday, November 24 and Wednesday, November 25. While at PHX Sky Harbor, the Roaming Gnome took advantage of many of the services and amenities that America’s Friendliest Airport® has to offer.

The Roaming Gnome spent time visiting the Phoenix Airport Museum Gallery in Terminal 4 near Cold Stone Creamery and wandering the terminals looking at some of the art. In fact, PHX Sky Harbor has one of the largest airport art collections in the US. All exhibits are free and viewable 24 hours a day throughout the various terminals. To find out more information, pick up a brochure or postcard at any of the exhibits or visit our Web site.

Did you know that PHX Sky Harbor has a non-denominational Airport Chapel? Located in Terminal 4, the Roaming Gnome dropped in to check it out.

And, with the holidays coming up, the Roaming Gnome wanted to see what sort of gift options PHX Sky Harbor has to offer. With the wide-variety of shops located throughout the Airport, there is no shortage of options from Arizona-themed gifts to jewelry, apparel and much more. The Roaming Gnome also checked out Drugs & More, which offers travel-sized amenities and other items useful to travelers if they forgot something for their trip.

The Roaming Gnome was so fascinated by the variety of shops and services that PHX Sky Harbor offers that he went to the Navigator Information Booth to pick up an Airport Guide and find out more information. Above, right see the Roaming Gnome pose with Navigator Jerilyn Schabacker.

The Roaming Gnome even learned how to use the Paging Assistance Location where pages are announced verbally and displayed visually throughout the terminals.

To find out more about America’s Friendliest Airport’s® amenities and services, browse our website or pick up an Airport Guide at any Information Counter in the Airport.
