PHX Perspective

What do Amelia the Airplane, a performing chicken, candy samples and free newspapers have in common? They are all ways that PHX Sky Harbor, America’s Friendliest Airport®, is showing appreciation for its customers on Customer Appreciation Day to be held October 7.

Travelers visiting the Airport will find a wide-array of giveaways and events taking place ranging from free candy, postcards, newspapers, coffee samples and even special discounts at restaurants and shops. These events, taking place on a single day during national Customer Service Week, will also feature Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon personally greeting travelers and thanking them for flying PHX as well as Navigator volunteers and employees handing out “THX from PHX” stickers. And, watch for Sky Harbor mascot, Amelia the Airplane out and about in the terminals posing for pictures.
