PHX Perspective

Become a Navigator!

Interested in volunteering at the Airport? Why not volunteer to be a Navigator? The Navigators are a group of volunteers who assist Airport travelers by answering questions, providing directions and just by being friendly. You might have noticed them while visiting PHX Sky Harbor. They are hard to miss with their purple jackets, “Ask Me” buttons, and friendly faces. This group of volunteers is an integral part of PHX Sky Harbor, and truly helps to make us America’s Friendliest Airport®.

Ask a Navigator about what he or she likes best about volunteering, and you’ll hear that they enjoy meeting a variety of new people and being at the Airport in general. Navigators also say that being able to assist travelers who have questions or who are lost is rewarding.

If this sounds appealing to you, why not fill out an application form on our Web site? A coordinator will be in touch with all applicants, and the next training session will be held on Tuesday, April 13, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Airport. Can’t attend this particular training class? Not to worry, there will be other classes coming up if this one doesn’t work with your schedule.
