What's Happening
Travelers this holiday season should be aware of important travel tips from the TSA. One of the TSA’s tips is to leave your gifts unwrapped as you pass through security in the event they require closer screening. Travelers wondering about how they can arrive at their destination with their gifts wrapped need not worry. America’s Friendliest Airport® is offering free gift-wrapping for travelers this holiday season.
For the fourth year in a row, Phoenix Sky Harbor will offer free gift-wrapping in its busiest terminal past security. On December 19-21 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., travelers will be able to have their gifts wrapped beyond Terminal 4 Security Checkpoints B and C. Gift wrapping will also be available on December 22-23 near Checkpoint B from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Gift wrapping is free, but donations will be accepted. Last year, more than $1,300 was raised for local United Way charities through the city of Phoenix Community Service Fund Drive.
And, if you are a last minute shopper, look no further than the Airport shops. Many are offering holiday specials for the season, and travelers can pick up a gift or two and have it wrapped right at the Airport. Find out more about holiday specials.
