Oct. 21, 2008 Legal Clinic on Construction Law The city of Phoenix Community and Economic Development Department, Small Business Division, will host a construction law symposium 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Phoenix School of Law, 4041 N. Central Ave., room 300. The full-day symposium will feature presentations by expert attorneys addressing construction insurance; defects and who “pays the piper;” bonding, licenses, compliance and penalties; liens - the hows and whys; construction contracts from A to Z; and the subcontractor - looking out for the little guy. Information from this symposium can be critical to all construction-based business owners, especially in the current market. The workshop is part of a series of legal clinics designed to educate small business owners and entrepreneurs about law-related topics crucial to business success.
