Time to Sign Up for Phoenix Parks and Recreation Late Fall Classes and Programs

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is now registering for general interest classes for the second half of the fall 2008 program season.

Late season classes generally are four to six weeks in length and kick off in early November. Classes in the second half of the season allow parents to schedule activities that fit into their child’s established school routine, and adults can schedule classes that fit around holiday schedules.

Participants can choose from dozens of general interest classes, programs and activities for all ages for just about any interest -- from cooking to fine arts and music, from guided hikes to basketball leagues.

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation’s classes and programs feature experienced, enthusiastic instructors at convenient times and affordable prices. Park rangers also are offering a full schedule of interpretive outdoor programs in the city’s desert preserves.

Signing up is easy. Residents can register online in the Classes and Programs section of the department Web site at phoenix.gov/parks. In-person registration is available at any department community center during normal operating hours.
