Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department Halloween and Fall Season
The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a series of events to help families celebrate the Fall Season and Halloween. A complete list of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department events are viewable online in the Calendar of Events link at phoenix.gov/parks.
Saturday, Oct. 24 and 25
Haunted Hayride 6 – 9 p.m.
South Mountain Park, Box Canyon, 10919 S. Central Ave., along with South Mountain Laveen Villages Festival, Inc., will be sponsoring the annual Haunted Hayride for children 3 years and up. Saturday, Oct. 25
Falloween 2 – 5 p.m.
Deer Valley Community Center, 2001 W. Wahalla, is hosting this fun family event that will feature costume contests, carnival games, arts and crafts, face painting, and much more. Admission is free. Boo Fest ’08 6 – 9 p.m.
Paseo Highlands Park, 35th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road, will be home to this family-friendly event featuring games, inflatables, climbing wall, hayride, pumpkin patch, live entertainment, costume judging, hot air balloon display, and food vendors. Thursday, Oct. 30
Mystery Mansion 5 - 8 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 31
Haunted Night in the Park 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
University Park, 1002 W. Van Buren, will be featuring a fun-filled family evening with free pumpkin patch photographs, face painting, hot dogs and special guest Bee Happy the Clown. Haunted Halloween Night Flight Family Golf
Palo Verde Golf Course, 6215 N. 15th Ave., will feature a family night golf event with costume judging at 6 p.m. Prizes for the best costume. The event is limited to the first 45 golfers. Registration deadline is Oct. 30. Tee off 6:30 p.m. Cost $25 per person, one child plays free with paying adult, $15 for additional child. Peek – A – Boo at Pecos Park 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Pecos Park, 17010 S. 48th St. (south of Chandler Boulevard)
The Parks and Recreation Department along with Petutopia is sponsoring this fun-filled family event. Costume parade for youth at 10:30 a.m., pet parade at 11:30 a.m. Prizes for cutest, most original, pair (2), theme (3+). Free carnival games and moon walks, crafts, hands-on activities. Refreshments for sale. Admission is free. Third Annual Harvest Daze Festival 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Cesar Chavez Park, 7858 S. 35th Ave. (Baseline Road and 35th Avenue)
The Parks and Recreation Department along with South Mountain/Laveen Village Festival, Inc., is sponsoring the event which will feature: food vendors, crafts, animal displays, games, fishing contest, prizes and much more.
