Women's Economic Forum Offers Steps to Increase Earning Power

A women’s economic forum, "Women Talk: Money and More!," will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Phoenix College, John Paul Theatre, 1202 W. Thomas Road.

The free event will provide a forum for women to learn about personal economic growth and development. Panelists will offer presentations on health and wellness, personal safety, financial planning and planning your education and career goals.

The panel discussion will be from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Panelists include Daniel Herbst, dean of student services, Phoenix College; Rebecca S. Kennell, certified financial planner, Commonwealth Financial Network; Gail A. Andrews, certified financial planner, Commonwealth Financial Network; Smita Muliyil, registered dietitian, Maricopa Integrated Health System; and Commander Jeri Williams, Phoenix Police Department.

The panel moderator is Laura Franco French, executive projects manager, Arizona Office of Tourism, and Dr. Anna Solley, president, Phoenix College, will provide welcoming remarks.

The forum is sponsored by the Phoenix Women's Commission and the city of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department in partnership with Phoenix College. A book sale will be offered by Borders Books and a complimentary box lunch is available for attendees. Seating is limited.
