Learn about fair housing practices and laws at a free three-hour workshop from 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, Oct. 17, at Phoenix City Hall, 200 W. Washington St., assembly room A. This workshop will offer ADRE-authorized fair housing REALTOR re-licensing credit.
A free two-hour workshop also will be offered from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 28, at South Mountain Community Center, 212 E. Alta Vista Road.
Sponsored by the city of Phoenix Equal Opportunity Department, the workshops will explain housing discrimination investigations from the experts who conduct them. Fair housing practices apply to apartments, houses, condominiums and mobile home parks.
It is illegal for housing providers to discriminate against tenants, rental applicants or customers on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or familial status.
