Unnamed Park Phase I
The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is constructing PHASE I of a new park located at 3275 W. Sherman Street, west of Jack Kuban Elementary School. The new park will include lighted basketball court, lighted sand volleyball court, open turf areas, restroom, children’s playground, concrete plaza, ramada, lighted concrete walks, perimeter fence, landscaping with shade trees and shrubs and lighted parking lot.
Construction will begin May 2008, with project completion by Fall 2008. Funding for this project is provided by 2001 GO Park Bonds and the Phoenix Parks Preserves Initiative.

Council District 8 - CIP Construction Notices

Mong Park Renovation
The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is conducting a park renovation at Mong Park located at 1432 E. Wood St. The project includes: Demolition of existing park structures, installation of new chain link perimeter fence, concrete walkway, small playground, small basketball court, picnic tables, benches, and landscaping. Construction will begin October 2008, with project completion January 2009. Funding for this project is provided by the Phoenix Parks Preserves Initiative.
