Barking Dog Information Center

Barking dogs can present a major problem within urban areas such as Phoenix. While some people are very tolerant of dog barking, others are sensitive to the disturbance. The ideal solution is to talk to your neighbor and resolve the issue. If the situation cannot be resolved, the complainant (person annoyed by the barking dog) can begin the process of filing charges against the dog owner by filing a formal complaint.

Phoenix City Ordinance § 8-2 classifies a barking dog offense as a class one misdemeanor.
