  • When will I be able to move in? A family can move in as soon as the unit is inspected, the lease is signed and arrangements have been made for payment of rent and all deposits.

  • Are utilities included? Water and electric utilities are included and are in operation at the time the unit inspection is completed by the prospective resident. Excess charges for electricity, will be billed to the resident by the Housing Department. Gas is not included and the family is responsible to establish service with Southwest Gas Corporation, (SWGas). Each family is responsible for prompt payment to SWGas for their monthly gas bill.

  • Where can I turn to for help to pay my rent, deposit and gas utility? If a family is in need of financial assistance they should contact their nearest City of Phoenix, Human Service Center (HSC) and apply for rental assistance. If the Center does not have financial assistance available, the family should seek assistance from relatives and friends or seek to make arrangements with the Housing Department to pay the rent and deposit on an installment basis. For the gas utility deposit, the family will need to speak directly with Southwest Gas Corporation.

  • How do I get repairs to my apartment completed? The resident can call the work order phone number to report a deficiency in the apartment. The work order desk is available to receive calls on Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Maintenance staff will respond and make the necessary repairs. Some repairs are subject to charge.

  • Are visitors allowed? Yes, visitors are allowed. Residents that will have visitors that plan to stay for more than one week (7 days) must seek approval in advance from the Rental Office.
