Description

The city of Phoenix Human Services Department, Community Services Division, makes Community Development Block Grants and Emergency Shelter Grant funds available to eligible nonprofit organizations for the services of Emergency Shelter Operations, Transitional Housing Operations and Housing Support Services in support of individuals and/or families who are homeless with the goal of assisting them in moving towards self-sufficiency and permanent housing.

Summer Youth Program

Description The competitive bidding and Request for Proposal process for nonprofit organizations and government agencies to help youth, ages 14-21, obtain summer employment was conducted in January 2008 to provide summer youth services beginning in May 2008. In April 2008, $1,087,900 was awarded to eligible nonprofit organizations.
