The Youth Firesetter Intervention Program offers free monthly classes for children and youth ages three to seventeen. All classes are taught by experienced Phoenix Firefighters using age-based curriculums. Note: There are no scheduled classes until further notice.

Education classes and times are as follows:

  • Youth ages 11–17 and youth diverted by the juvenile court attend one Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

    Curriculum includes:

    1. Arizona Arson and Fireworks Laws
    2. The Properties of Fire/Fire Science
    3. Fire in the Media
    4. Consequences, Choices and Responsibilities
    5. Burn Injuries
    6. How the Community is Affected by Firesetting
    7. Fire Safety
  • Youth ages 7–10, attend one Saturday per month from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

    Curriculum includes:

  • Children ages 3-6, attend one Saturday per month from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

    Curriculum includes:

    1. Tools and Toys
    2. Fire Safety
    3. Good and Bad Fire

All classes are held at the Phoenix Fire Department’s Fire Administration Building located at 150 S. 12th Street in Phoenix, Arizona
