Airport Roadway Restrictions

Overnight Closures and Restrictions
Due to construction projects, be aware that from 11 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, through 6 a.m., Thursday, February 23, there will be some roadway restrictions and closures.

  • From 11 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, through 2 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, drivers will not be able to access the I-10 on-ramp from westbound Sky Harbor Boulevard. Traffic instead will be detoured to Buckeye Road. From there, take 24th Street north to Sky Harbor Circle north to access I-10 westbound.
  • On Thursday, February 23, from 2 a.m. – 3 a.m., there will be no access to Terminals 2 and 3 from the east entrances of the Airport (Loop 202, SR-143 and 44th Street). Drivers should instead enter the Airport from the West via Buckeye Road or the I-10 Freeway. Note that access to Terminal 4 from the east entrances will still be maintained.

Terminal 3 Parking Garage Exit Detour
From 10 p.m. on Sunday, February 5 through 6 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, drivers exiting the south side of the Terminal 3 Parking Garage to westbound Sky Harbor Blvd. should be aware that there will be a detour in place. Drivers should watch for detour signs when leaving the garage.

General Information
Drivers should also be aware that due to construction projects, there could be some nightly roadway restrictions at the Airport. Drivers should slow down for construction and watch for signs. Please allow for extra time when traveling.
