Overview

Arts and Social Change Project grants represent one area of interest in the Community Arts Support Category. These grants offer a flexible area of funding assistance for arts related activities that foster the artistic development of organizations, promote the community's cultural richness, or reach out into the community to meet a particular need.

Arts and Social Change Project grants provide funding assitance for activites that:

• serve "special populations" (such as social service constituents, youth at risk, victims of abuse, seniors, homeless, people with disabilities, etc.)
• address a social issue in the community
• support prevention/intervention programs
• use the arts activity as a means to address social service goals and objectives specific to the participants or the social service organization
• are collaborations between social service providers or community-based organizations with artists and/or arts organization's outreach activities

Applicants to the Arts and Social Change category may not submit an application in any of the other Community Arts Support Categories:
